Day 1: Fes → Ifrane → Ziz Valley → Merzouga Desert
After breakfast at your hotel or riad, your private driver/guide will pick you up before heading south towards the majestic Merzouga desert. The first stop is the charming town of Ifrane, listed as the second cleanest city in the world in 2015. Take a short break in the cedar forest, home to a colony of Barbary macaques, then continue to Midelt for lunch. Later, cross the spectacular Atlas Mountains, passing the Ziz Valley with its countless palm trees and stunning views. Arrive in the desert for a camel ride while watching the sunset, then reach your luxury desert camp for dinner and a relaxing night in your private en-suite tent.
Day 2: Merzouga Desert → Erfoud → Todra Gorge → Dades Valley
An early start to watch the sunrise over the dunes, followed by a refreshing breakfast before the day's adventure. Drive west past the town of Erfoud, where you may wish to visit the dates market, then stretch your legs in the impressive Todra Gorge. Spend your second night in an authentic riad or hotel in the lush Dades Valley.
Day 3: Dades Valley → Skoura → Ouarzazate → Aït Benhaddou → Marrakech
After breakfast, continue through the lush Valley of Roses, with the option to visit a local cooperative to learn about rose-based products including rose water, perfumes and lotions. Cross Ouarzazate, the "Hollywood of Africa", backdrop to numerous films such as Gladiator, Kingdom of Heaven, Lawrence of Arabia and Prince of Persia.
